Brian Wilson LSWPP is The Edinburgh professional wedding photographer to use if you want the best.
I'm a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (the SWPP) since 2006 and gained my Licentiate accreditation in 2009. I'm also a member of the British Freelance Photographers association (BFP), joining in 2010.
Your wedding is the biggest day in your life and, after the flowers, cars, cake and guests are gone, you'll want stunning pictures to remind you what a fantastic day it was for you. Unlike many photographers today I will always shoot your wedding personally, I never sub-contract and mostly I work solo, occassionally with an assistant. Don't be fooled by offers of second or even third shooters - quantity doesn't mean anything, quality means everything.
I'm passionate about wedding photography, I get a great buzz from being there on the day and getting fabulous shots and I love sitting down at the computer after, working on the images to make them look their best. As well as weddings I shoot portraits, lifestyle, commercial, travel, sport and editiorial work and some personal projects too. This particular website is dedicated to wedding photography but I also have short portfolios of other work on here that you can see if you click the Online Galleries menu option and open the Portfolio page.
Couples looking for wedding services find themselves resorting to directories, friends and many other sources looking for cars, cakes, favours and the hundred details that go into a successful wedding event. I've tried to make things a little easier for you by including a Wedding Services page where you can browse venues, hairdressers, make-up artists, bridal gowns and others will be added as I collect information from new couples on quality services.
Choosing a photographer for your wedding should be the most important consideration for you. Unlike all other wedding services you will buy, your photographs will endure the test of time and they will provide you with memories of your day but will also be an important record for your future family. Ask yourself; what do I want from my photographer and my photographs? Once you know the answer to that question, use it to screen out the photographers and styles you don't want, then choose maybe two or three that you do like and discover if you like them as people. If you do, its more likely that the outcome will be to everyone's satisfaction. Don't choose purely on price, or because you like the Album you are offered, or because you get a free glass of champagne; instead choose your photographer because you like him!
