Streetlife Photography is a boutique wedding and portrait photography service, owned and run by Brian Wilson. Brian shoots weddings in the UK and North America for discerning clients; clients who want a contemporary approach but with a classical look and understated quality. Unlike many photographers, Brian shoots only about a dozen weddings per year, preferring to provide each of his brides with something special.

“I want provide my Brides with a quality photography service and with Albums and images that they will want to show to their family and friends time and time again. Many wedding photographers are doing 2 or 3 weddings in a week-end, and it will be difficult for them to be fresh, invigorated and creative for each one. I will not do more than 1 wedding in a weekend and I will turn work down if I feel I can’t offer the bride what she wants.”

Brian’s approach to each wedding is based on planning, research and attention to detail.

“I always do a wedding personally; I’d never substitute another photographer. Planning is the key and I will talk with my bride and groom about their ideas and how we can, together, come up with a fresh look ensuring that the enjoyment and excitement of the day is captured in pictures. I will visit the venue, even if I’ve shot there before and I will work with the wedding planner and others involved getting the timing and the lighting the way my bride wants”.

On the day Brian will turn up at each of his Bride's venues on time and ready to shoot.

“A wedding is a whole day event; why should the photographer only capture the ceremony? There are fantastic and exciting images to be had during the bride’s preparation and after the ceremony, during the celebration as well. If there’s time in the schedule I’ll take my bride, groom and wedding party away from their guests for a little while and make them feel like fashion models for the day”.

After the wedding the work doesn’t stop.

“I shoot digital exclusively so the post-wedding workflow begins almost immediately I stop shooting. In some cases I can provide some shots for view there and then – during the celebration, so guests and my bride can instantly see what the images will look like. After her honeymoon the images will be ready for her to proof, either on DVD or in print and once her choices are made the Album can be ready within a week”.

So if you want any old photographer you’ll get average, any-old-pictures, but if you want Brian to do your wedding shoot you’ll get something special.
